Sharing the document with others

“We call upon responsible citizens and officers of government everywhere to promote those measures designed to maintain and strengthen the family as the fundamental unit of society.”1

My personal experience of sharing this with others
I felt prompted to share this document with those not of my faith and beliefs. It took a lot of courage but I knew I needed to heed the promptings. I was delighted when those I shared it with found it insightful and interesting. There was one experience when the fellow I shared it with was excited to know there was a chance for eternal families and that we lived before we came to earth. Shortly after his excitement he went to his church leaders and told them the good news. He hasn’t been the same since. Instead he became closed minded and closed hearted wanting to know nothing more of the possibility to be an eternal family. I found this to be saddening.
I’m not sure why I felt so prompted to share this document with others. There were no baptisms or changes of heart of those I shared it with. Those that believe in the absolute truths contained in the document shouted out their testimonies of such. Those that didn’t believe everything they read remained unbelieving.
Although this project didn’t turn out like I had hoped I still learned a great amount and am thankful I shared this document with “the responsible citizens…everywhere.”
